“Who the hell is this guy with the RBF?”

A great question, random human that stumbled onto this site. My name is Paul Gallant. And I’m a paid talker.

“Cool story, bro. That humble brag at the end REAAALLLY got my attention.”

Well, brace yourself. Because I’m about to take you down TLDR Road.

I grew up in Hanover Massachusetts with an unhealthy sports obsession. I’m not sure what caused it. But I watched them, read them, listened to people talk about them, played them...they were for thing I cared about most from a very young age.

I thought this passion meant I was a LOCK to be a future professional athlete. And now, I can proudly say...I have a website. Classic unrealistic hopes and dreams!

“Ha, NERD.”

Whoa, whoa, whoa. Let me pat myself on the back Al Bundy style for a brief moment. I was a decent high school football player in St. Pete, Florida. But I was never good enough to actually get on the field at the collegiate level, dooming me to a life of taking intramural sports way too seriously.

As I slowly realized I was never going to play in the NFL, I began focusing on a possible career in sports media. In particular, one that would let me talk about it in the passionate, energetic, and...loud...way that I speak: Sports Talk.

That focus took me to the frozen wastes of Syracuse University and the renowned, prestigious, S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. Whoops, I forgot to stop patting myself on the back.

“Wow, you went to college? Do you need a sticker to commemorate your achievements?”

Actually, I’d gladly take a shiny participation trophy. But let me finish, peanut gallery.

I was hired as a part timer by Houston’s SportsRadio 610 in 2011. I went from doing a weekend show, to hosting a night show, and ultimately hosting morning drive AND the Texans postgame show over 7.5 years there. I hosted sports talk TV Shows on Kube 57 in Houston 2013-2019, and occasionally filled in on Boston’s WEEI and CBS Sports Radio. After that, I spent 2 years in Seattle hosting “Danny & Gallant” (Mornings 7-10 PT) and “The Paul Gallant Show” (Mornings 10-11 PT) on 710 ESPN Seattle.

“A personal web site in 2021? Really original, PAWL.”

Fair point. But I like to think I put a unique twist on things. I’m honest, filter-free, self deprecating, and more than anything, I hope I’ll make you laugh.

TLDR, thanks for stumbling across my site. I hope you enjoy it!
